Hey does anyone remember the computer game grizzoly gulch? Its a fun little game. has any one beat it on gunslinger leval?

I've always been able to beat it at the cowpolk level, but never could do it on gunslinger. one of those games I had these sudden random urges to play, then had no desire at all to. but fun. yes.

Ah yes I've beat it on cowpolk too. I've got it but wonder if it will work on windows 7? I should try; I'll cry if it doesn't. The game gets old quickly but as was stated, a bit of fun :)

On a 64 bit system, you're out of luck. It can be done on a 32 bit system, though, if you have the patch that was released several years ago.

I beat it on gunslinger. I always found that game to be boringly easy for me.

I remember that game. got it for christmas years ago, but mine was flawed for some reason. it kept getting stuck during one of the shooting levels. I don't know why. The music just kept playing but my controls didnt' work, and then I just left it alone and forgot about it. aw, well. it was fun for a while. Of course, I was about ten or eleven back then.

You probably needed that ppatch I mentioned a few posts back. The shooting levels would freeze if you didn't have it installed on most systems.

Man, I liked that game! Wish I had it.. but don't think it'll work on my pc.

I must say, youcould tell by the bloopers the guys were trying there hardest to sound like redneck folks since it's in the west. let me tell ya, the guy that was over the saloon and all that was probably the best one out of all of 'em. I would laugh my ass off at those guys. I bet that game I think within 2 hours once. and I know a few cheats to that game, also.

Post 10 by zackmack2000 ( extreme killer of the keys) on Tuesday, 09-Apr-2013 13:25:15

ok. that was supposed to be, I beat that game within 2 hours. sorry.

That game could have been so much more if they had wanted to expand it. For example, I always thought it would have been way cool to be able to browse the store and buy items that could have been helpful. Having the store closed unless you needed something specific was a drag, not to mention unrealistic. It would have been nice to have food and stuff in the game, too. But, my favorite idea that I ever came up with was that instead of playing the hero, you could play one of the criminals, trying to escape justice. That would completely change the dynamic of the game and all, but you could sneak back into the town, or perhaps even other towns, and commit crimes, and then run off into the hills while the good guy chases you.

I agree that game could have been so much better. I think the best improvement would have been having them not sound like they're four year olds playing cops and robbers.

Post 13 by GreenTurtle (Music is life. Love. Vitality.) on Sunday, 14-Apr-2013 19:28:18

Lol, agreed. That reminds me of something else that could have been vastly improved. The fact that whenever you were in gunfights, there were only like 3 different guys to shoot. Come on, how unrealistic is that? They should have had at least 10 different voices, if not more. Besides, there were no body falling sounds, and I'm pretty sure that right after you got shot, you wouldn't be yelling and sounding like you just developed an inflamed hemmoroid. Some realistic screams would have been nice, though.

They only ever made two games did they not? Did anyone play the title after that? Cillingham? That got pretty boring quickly too; quite apart from not knowing what the misions were without asking people.

Post 15 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Monday, 15-Apr-2013 5:52:30

They made three titles, there was a chillingham two. However, after chillingham bored me to sleep, I didn't play the next one.

Post 16 by GreenTurtle (Music is life. Love. Vitality.) on Monday, 15-Apr-2013 17:35:41

Chillingham 2 was never released. They were planning to release it, but considering that they disappeared off the face of the earth, that wasn't to be. Can't say I'm disappointed, though. I didn't like the first one.

Post 17 by zackmack2000 ( extreme killer of the keys) on Monday, 15-Apr-2013 19:18:39

I must say, that I treid chilling ham, and didn't get it at all. also, would you believe that somebody took the voices of the bad guys from gg and put them in alter eyon? they also put some of the voices from street fighter 4 in their as well. absolutely strange

lol shattered I loved your ideas! Awesome! :)

Post 19 by rdfreak (THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE-BLUE KANGA-KICKIN AUSIE) on Tuesday, 16-Apr-2013 4:51:53

SL Wow I knew they were intending on making a second one but didn't realize they did.

Post 20 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 16-Apr-2013 7:34:04

Perhaps they didn't. I thought I remembered it being released, but being heavily back ordered. I don't know. It would have sucked anyway.

Post 21 by rdfreak (THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE-BLUE KANGA-KICKIN AUSIE) on Wednesday, 17-Apr-2013 1:43:50

Did you ever finish Chillingham Cody?

Post 22 by SilverLightning (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 17-Apr-2013 5:08:14

Yeah, I finished it. It was anticlimactic.

Post 23 by UniqueOne (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Thursday, 18-Apr-2013 20:28:37

Lol I remember when it first came out and how cool it seemed..looking back what'd i know lol!

Post 24 by rdfreak (THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE-BLUE KANGA-KICKIN AUSIE) on Thursday, 18-Apr-2013 23:31:31

The good old days where everything was so new and cool! I can't help but like those good old days of just starting out on the internet; I do think GG was one of my first, if not very first audio game for the computer.

Post 25 by GreenTurtle (Music is life. Love. Vitality.) on Friday, 19-Apr-2013 0:20:05

Grizzly Gulch was my first audio game. My parents bought it for me when I was about 10, and I remember begging to stay up later to try to solve the puzzle with the slot machine. Lol, good times. But you know, after I beat it, that was when I started to dream of all the vast improvements that could have been made that would have made the game so much better and more replayable.

Post 26 by BryanP22 (Novice theriminist) on Saturday, 20-Apr-2013 12:44:30

Grizzly was my very first audio game. There was actually talk about expanding the game for a while but nothing ever came of it. As for Chillingham I actually really liked it for the most part since it almost reminded me of the old game Maniac Mansion, though admittedly not nearly as funny. It did have a good atmosphere though, evenif most of the voice acting was shall we say, less than spectacular. Asidefrom the fact that some of the puzzles could be insanely difficult (that damn keypad on the tomb door), my biggest gripe with the game was that most of it consisted of catching those damn bugs! LOL. I'm ot even sure i have my Bavisoft titles (I bought both Grizzly and Chillingham), and given the fact that they don't work well on newer systems without patches and tinkering I'm in no hurry to try and find them. That and te fact that we'll never see Chillingham 2.
